Milwaukee Public Theatre creates highly acclaimed theatreworks that celebrate our uniqueness and challenge us to reach our potential. Since 1976, MPT programming has included free-to-the-public musical/vaudeville/ circus productions featuring artists of many cultures. Touring Milwaukee parks and public places, these shows present vital issues including the economics and politics of food, illiteracy, homelessness, health
and other contemporary themes and social issues through large-scale public events and parades.
Superb quality, unique themes, thorough planning and skilled execution hallmark an MPT special event or custom program. Working with you directly or with your planning professional, MPT delivers an entertainment experience that will meet or exceed your expectations. Featuring a wide array of solo and ensemble musicians, actors, dancers, performance artists, street performers, and variety entertainers, MPT develops and produces programs for all audiences and ages at your choice of venue and facility – indoors or outdoors, in staged or strolling formats, featuring any culture, theme, and period of history.
Express the artist in you! Engage in hands-on learning through creative activities while having fun! Milwaukee Public Theatre workshops can be brought to any site and tailored to fit all ages and abilities and your business, school, community, or personal interests with over 50 professional artists offering a diverse range
of activities from which to choose. Fees depend on artist, type, and duration of activity and supplies. Examples include, but are not limited to: multi-cultural visual arts/crafts, entrepreneurship, performing arts, circus arts, music, and dance.
Focusing on health and wellness education, MPT artists create and present effective programming for special-needs populations, community healthcare agencies, seniors, and children through workshops, residencies, DVDs, books, and touring shows. Several programs are bi-lingual.
Fees vary depending on the number of performers involved and distance traveled. Please call MPT at (414) 347-1685 for a detailed quote.
