MPT outreach makes a difference...
All-City People’s Parade: “I’m very excited about (the Parade) and hoping we continue to work on it because it’s very, very good for the city.” ~ Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett
“We’re making costumes, big walking puppets, insects, and many more cool projects to bring this Parade alive. This is great for local teenage artists!” ~ Jecilia Negron, 14, MAWIB intern
From the Start, Consider the Finish: “You’ve really developed a wonderful piece that combines education, facilitating conversation--and entertainment! I appreciate the opportunity to bring this quality level of programming to our students, scholars and community members.” ~ Sue Braden, Managing Director, UWM Center on Age & Community
Mino Ayaa: “Continued participation in the arts will help develop our youth into confident and well-rounded citizens of our Native community. It is for this reason that we whole-heartedly support the Milwaukee Public Theatre.” ~ Mark W. Powless, Director, Southeastern Oneida Tribal Services
StoryBridge: “I think having people of different ages work with my students teaches them respect for all age groups.” “I really enjoyed it and would do it again.” “I feel these workshops have opened up the children’s minds to be more creative and visual in their writing lessons.” ~ Various Teachers
FLOW: The Traveling Water Circus: “Good visuals; excellent dialogue. Very captivating and informative: a really fun way to learn.” “Wish all kids could see this! You should market this all over!” ~ Audience comments
With your help, here's what we're planning for 2012:

- Arts residencies and workshops: hands-on workshops or artist residencies for people of all ages/cultures/abilities, in collaboration with area schools and CBOs.
- StoryBridge: storytellers and professional artists work with children to increase communication and literacy skills.
