Seasonal Coordinator Position

Milwaukee Public Theatre is hiring for a seasonal, 10-hour per week coordinator position that runs from February 1 - June 30, 2017. The Coordinator will serve as liaison between United Performing Arts Fund staff and local performance artists for the purpose of producing performances at Milwaukee workplaces.

 

Responsibilities

  • Receive and confirm performance requests from UPAF staff

  • Procure artists and coordinate onboarding per MPT procedures

  • Responsible for the final outcome of each event (Professionalism and Quality), which will require occasional on-site coordination and artist management

  • Capture and organize photo and video documentation of performances appropriate for funder reports and social media posting.

  • Create and update UPAF reports to streamline approval and payment process

  • Assist Executive Director with various project and marketing-related tasks

 

Requirements

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • High level of professionalism

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Organized and able to independently track progress and completion of projects; ownership of and accountability for project completion and at a high standard

  • Consistent and reliable

  • Must be fluent in Word, Excel and Google Drive/Google Sheets software

  • Must have personal computer and internet access

  • Experience managing/staffing freelance artists a plus

  • Experience producing or programming events/shows a plus


 

Compensation and Benefits

  • $15/hr - 10 hours per week

  • $30/month mobile phone stipend

  • Flexible work location

  • Semi-flexible schedule
